Wherein Lane Reminds Us to Live up to Our Potential

What's up everyone!! I hope that all is well back in the united states!! (And everywhere else in the world)

Here in Perú things are just amazing

We, (like a bunch of other missions in the world), had changes of our mission president!! It is sad because I really got to like President Bunderson. He is the best!! President Stansbury is gonna be awesome as well!! And he's gonna be my third president! (Shoutout to Pdte. Bressler) but he doesn't speak Spanish very well, but I know he'll pick it up real quick!!

Oh also... there's a member here that was an exchange student in the 1960s and he speaks English like perfectly! But his English is like super agradable to listen to! Like he says, "my time in the states was lovely" and "I had a fine host family" and like other phrases like more old english and its the best.

 Spiritual section:

 I figure I can share a little about the biggest things I learned from President and hna. Bunderson. Mainly, is that I could really feel and knew that they loved each one of us as missionaries!! And to go along with that, one of the enseñanzas that I remember from them is to have, "alto amor, y altas expectativas!" To have lots of love, but high expectations!! Whether it be in a family setting, as a missionary, or even just as a child of God, its important to have lots of love, but also high expectations! And that is what the Lord has for us as well!! Very high expectations, but only cuz he loves us a bunch!!

Another thing I learned, mostly from Hna. Bunderson, is to live up to my potential!! I'll be the first to admit that I haven't exactly lived up to my potential 100% yet as a missionary! But Hna. Bunderson has it put in my mind that I need to do so. And so going forward, I really do want to esforzarme al (work hard to) living up to my potential!! And I recommend yall do the same.

Wherein Lane Learns About The Balancing Act That is LIFE!

 June 23, 2025

Well I knew someday this would happen!! After many many moths of writing one every week I knew I would miss at least one week and Well turns out I actually missed it two weeks in a row so sorry about that.

 basically these last two weeks not too much has happened but also a lot happened! Mainly we had transfers. I am staying here in the same house, but I have a new companion whose name is Elder Franco. He is a pretty cool guy, and we get along super well! I am excited to keep working with him! Also president Bunderson goes home this week and our new president Stansbury will arrive this Thursday! I am not exactly sure how I feel about it, because president Bunderson is super awesome and it's going to be weird adjusting to the new president. But that is about all that has gone on this week! Thanks for all of your prayers! I did get sick this week but I also already am better so no worries. Send me an email this week and next week I'll try my best to to respond. I'd love to hear from all of you! We'll see you next week!

 Spiritual section:

 From my last comp Elder Elon, I learned lots of good lessons, but maybe one of the best is how to balance being myself and a missionary!! And having one compliment the other.

Because obviously before the mission I wasn't a missionary. And so I am still working on being the best one I can. And that comes with change. I always had in my mind, that I'm gonna be myself, and that's not a bad thing but that mindset doesn't really want to change at all, and being a missionary requires change.

But its not always a bad thing. Being myself can help me to be a better missionary, and being a missionary has helped me to become the best version of myself!! They compliment each other really!! How amazing!!

And I realize that life is full of this!! Balancing being 2 things. Maybe that's a Husband and an employee, or a Father and and Teacher, or a Student and a Friend! There's lots of different things we are in life, and its difficult to be all of them at once, but we need to learn to balance it so that they compliment each other. But lets not forget to always, ALWAYS, balance being a child of God, and everything else! That should always take priority in our ever changing lives.

Wherein Lane Joys in Camilla Being Baptized

Hey there guys welcome back to the weekly email once again I'm probably the laziest elder that has ever served a mission. Mostly on Pdays, which prolly shows in my effort on these emails.

But anyways this week was cool!! Me and Papa León are just doing swell.

Me and him actually get along really well.

On tuesday this week, Camila got baptized!!! 

That was one of the coolest conversions I've been a part of. The whole times shes had the strongest testimony and I'm glad the day finally came!!! We also had a few friends come to the baptism.

The rest of the week we did a lot of looking for new people... not as much finding, but the effort was there.

Also we had our last zone conference with Hna. and President Bunderson!! It was a great conference, and kinda sad.

Then also we had our final interviews with them. That was pretty sad actually. But we got permission to hug Hna. Bunderson. So that was a good way to say goodbye.

This sunday was the most awesome sunday. First off Camila got confirmed, so automatically awesome!! Second it was a baby blessing, so more awesome. Also Brandon, convert from a few weeks ago, blessed the sacrament, super duper awesome!! Also we had a good ammount of friends come to church. Also Jeremi, 12 years old, other convert, said he didnt want to come to church anymore, and then came and bore his testimony that he felt like he needed to come and it is the right thing to do.

And just a bunch of otherthings made it the best sunday!!!

Also if you've been reading for the last few weeks, my comp has left me a few times to go to Cusco to get tickets to Macho Picchu.

Well this week he actually got to go, and so once again I am left here all alone with my district leader. And I have to wake up at 5am again.

 Spiritual section:

 This week was full of spirituality . In the zone conference from the Bundersons they told us some of the most important things that they have learned from their 3 years as president. So that was good. Also in my interviews we talked a lot about me personally as a missionary and my strengths and weeknesses. And basically there was a lot of growth and personal revelation this week!! And I think its gonna be great going on from here.

But if yall want something spiritual this week, (thanks for coming here), but go to the book of mormon!! Its the best and it has all the spirituality you could ever want. — I'll be more spiritual in my next weeks email
