Wherein Lane Loves Priesthood and Prophets

 This week has been good!! Not a lot happened

Our friends aren't progressing a lot, which is sad, and we aren't finding a lot of new friends. So this week we are gonna try that.

The hardest thing is that not a lot of people are coming to Church on Sundays. We've been inviting a lot and trying different things but they're not working. So if y'all have any ideas let me know.

But this week is general conference and i'm pretty excited about that... my third in the mission ya so that's cool.

But apart from that, everything is good. I'm chilling, me and my companion are better and better every day. I love this sector mas y mas. I'm good and healthy and good animo too. So ya that's sweet.

I hope all of y'all are good back at home and staying safe with all the crazy things happening in the world. And if you feel up to it send me an email or what not, and it'll make my pdays better (they've been pretty boring and eventless this last few weeks).

 Spiritual section:

Well, it is indeed sad about how Pres. Nelson passed away. But something we talked about is priesthood authority and profeta a lot in our class to the young men. And what a blessing it is that we actually have profeta hoy dia on the earth! And also the fact that we actually have the power and authority of the priesthood! Something to think about and always remember how blessed we are. But something we always teach and need to learn is that we need to use the gifts we've been given. Doesn't serve anyone having the priesthood power in our lives, families, and homes, if we're not going to use it and receive the blessings that come from it. Lo mismo es with prophets. It sure is awesome to have one but it doesn't vale nada if we aren't going to listen to them and apply the teachings we are given. So my invitation is to go and listen to the talks from President Nelson, and try to apply them more and more.

Good week this week! Really crazy that the first transfer here in Perú is done! Only 13 more and  I'm finished with the mish!!

Wherein Lane Sees Small Miracles

September 14, 2025

Ok this'll be a shorter one I think. Pretty good week!! Were getting back into the hang of things with Elder Cubillas again!! Hes a good hard working missionary, so itll be a good cambio.

The biggest dificulty this week was stake conference. It was in Cusco because were part of that stake. But its like an hour and a half away, so we had 0 friends come to church which was sad. And as such we had to change the baptismal dates of 3 of our friends. We are praying a lot that they will happen this sunday, so stay tuned for miracles next email.

Also we found 2 families that are interested this week which is like normally superr awesome, pero they arent marreid either of them, so we are gonna have to see if they're willing to get married first.

Heard about all of the crazy stuff happening in the world!! Super sad, but hopefully we can all try and look for our small little miracles God is constantly blessing us with!! 

Some small miracles happening here in Peru, is that the missionaries are working hard and helping friends in my other sectors. 4 of my friends in Puno have gotten baptised since I left, its always bitter sweet because obviously I would have loved to have been there, but I also know that it is Gods timing and I am just happy that they were able to get baptised!! So ya that is super freaking awesomeeee!!!

O also we had some service this week, and I love service so much so that was nice. But ya

 Spiritual section:

 Bueno i suppose that it would be good if we could all reflexionar in all the bad happening in the world. And that we can all focus on being better and more loving disciples of Jesus Christ. He taught us how we need to live, and how we should love.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you"

May we all try just a little harder to be conflict free.

As president Nelson says repeatedly,

“Anger never persuades. Hostility builds no one. Contention never leads to inspired solutions.”
