Hola hola!! This week was full of both disappointments and miracles as always!!
Tuesday we had our beautiful 6am bus ride (i think im actually gonna miss these when i leave) to go to district council. We then went to Trinidad to do a choque de fuerza! Me and my comp Ha Aranda ended up still working together and it was so fun!! We found some potential friends and laughed a lot wandering the streets of another town while the poor hermanas were in the hospital! Wednesday we went to Florida for Multizona which was a super great meeting!! We also did a chocolate exchange for Dia de San Valentin! It was a fun and spirit-filling day and
Zona Durazno is literally the best zone!!

#DiosenDurazno

#DiosenDuraznoWhen we got home after the conference we went straight to Gisels house. Gisel is the mom of our friend Namu that was baptised new years eve! Her and her husband got baptised in a different town like 5 years ago, but as weve been helping them return to church here in Sarandi, we found that she had no records. Her baptism definitely happened, but it wasn't recorded! So we've been searching with the help of other leaders and it just doesn't exist so she had to get baptized again. She was pretty frustrated, with reason, and didnt want to at first but after a nice long charla, she agreed. And she got baptized yesterday and it was a very beautiful experience. She shared her testimony and it was just amazing! I know God's plan wasn't that her records got lost or didnt go through the first time, but God made a miracle out of somebody's error. I think it was an experience that strengthened her and her family and it strengthened my testimony. It also made me reflect on how much trust God puts in us, his servants in the vineyard, that we do things correctly.
Samara and Federico still havent gone to get married so now its most likely i wont be here when they do which makes me a lil sad because i honestly thought that was a big reason/ blessing of me still being in this area, but just as i was having a moment of getting a little discouraged, my friend Virginia from 33, messaged me saying shes gonna get baptised on saturday!! Then that night after a disapointing charla with a friend, i received a message from my friend Benjamin in Florida saying hes also getting baptised saturday and wanted me to participate por videollamada!! Sometimes the mission is hard when you dont get to be there for your friends baptism, but honestly it doesnt even matter really its not whats important. just the joy that comes from knowing they got baptised is incredible!! Those messages from them were exactly what i needed! Im so happy they chose to be baptised and it made me happy to know that ive been able to be part of a great work here in Uruguay! #plantingseeds Im also grateful for technology that allowed us to participate from lejos! Also virginia got baptised with goggles because she has an eye problem and it was just the cutest thing!
We were in a charla this week with a new family and after asking if they were married and they responded with no, we asked them if theyve ever thought about it. Suddenly, the guy just looks over at his pareja and says," quiere casarse conmigo?" She said siiiiii super happily and with a bright red face. We were like bruh no way did he just propose? So that was pretty cute.
This week was carnaval but honestly it didnt change much for us! Just heard people in the street at 5am
The weather this week cooled off and it was so nice then this weekend it was super pesada again but last night it started raining lightly and it was so nice! A nice light rain brings me joy!
